Creative Micro-Commission Programme
In March 2020 we launched the Creative Micro-Commission Programme, offering £350 to creative practitioners across Hull and the North of England. The aim was to produce a new work, from any discipline, within the limits of working under current social distancing measures.
The programme was designed to enable artists to respond and create new work quickly, encouraging the space and freedom to try out new ideas and ways of creating work for online presentation.
Initially we planned to commission six new pieces but, due to the overwhelming response, we increased the selection to eight pieces.
