Community Engagement & Learning
Working with the people of Hull, we create experiences that matter and art and culture that leads to change.
Connecting with artists, collaborators and partners to reflect Hull’s communities through a local, regional, national and international prism.
Delivering cultural experiences that offer accessible entry points for all, we believe contemporary art inspires and offers meaningful opportunities for learning and reflection by creating space for exciting, high-quality creative experiences to happen, for everyone.
Since 2019, we have worked with two local communities; Spring Bank and Gipsyville. We have been collaborating with residents, with support from HEY! Volunteering, to shape and deliver a variety of classes, workshops and opportunities for everyone to get creative and to enhance people’s experiences of arts and culture.
At Humber Street Gallery we offer a range of engagement opportunities; such as curator tours, school tours, classes and a wide selection of co-created events.
To request information about how the gallery can facilitate creative learning or to book a group visit please contact info@absolutelycultured.co.uk, and you can find our risk assessment document here.
Absolutely Cultured provides high quality arts education opportunities for primary and secondary schools. These are developed alongside and threaded through our exhibitions and events programmes. We also provide bespoke support to further and higher education institutions and provide their students with creative industries experience.
