What makes you happy?
What is the most important in your life?
These are the questions people were asked in the Our Strength Is In Our Connection project by Miranda Van Rossum and Hanna Lutkin. Participants produced a link and accompanying write-up, in the hope of revealing commonalities and common ground, as it’s precisely in those connections where our strength lies.
The result was a giant paper chain consisting of over 800 links, which included contributions from, amongst others, Sidmouth Primary School, Back to Ours, Welcome House, Rooted in Sunshine and Pause Hull. In addition to the chain, the exhibition also featured a number of photos of individual links highlighting key themes which emerged from the project, such as family, friends and support.
