Model City’s young co-creators design shops for the future

During the past month we have been running workshops as part of Model City, a ground-breaking new project by artist Dan Jones, supported by NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group, that will co-create high quality arts and culture with young people from across the city.

Working with children from three primary schools, their thoughts and hopes for the city and its future will be captured by Dan Jones, a BAFTA and Ivor Novello Award winning sound artist. Jones will then take the recordings and create a soundscape to showcase their visions in February 2020.

For our third workshop, RESOLVE Collective turned the children’s focus to High Streets.

The young co-creators then designed their own future shops, considering what they would sell that doesn’t currently exist. Here are some of their ideas:
