Hi, I’m Alex! I’m the Programme Assistant at Absolutely Cultured.

I support the creative team in planning and delivering Absolutely Cultured’s exhibitions and engagement programme.

Since completing my MA in Art History at the University of Nottingham, I have worked in galleries, museums, and community arts supporting the delivery of exhibitions and events. I’ve also worked closely with artist-led spaces in Hull to deliver writing workshops, and continue to explore my own writing practice.

I have been fortunate to have published written work in a variety of arts magazines and publications, including Art Review and Corridor 8. Running Hull Zine Library has also been a generative and exploratory experience into community arts and literature, programming workshops and building strong connections with other artists.

In the meantime, you’ll usually find me with a notebook and pen in hand, or out in nature.
