Parklife, Absolutely Cultured
Parklife celebrates the stories of local people who live and work around Peel Street park in a new and unique photography exhibition displayed in the heart of the community.
Volunteers and the local people have been working together since 2019 and Parklife is the next exciting step in the journey.
Commissioned by Absolutely Cultured, local photographer Sergej Komkov has been working with volunteers to interview and photograph the people and places of Peel Street Park, capturing its fascinating story.
“Chatty Phoneboxes”
In partnership with KCOM, purpose-built phone boxes will be installed at three of Absolutely Cultured’s project sites on Saturday 17 July: Peel Street park, The Shires area in Gipsyville and Princes Quay shopping centre.
The “Chatty Phoneboxes” will give people the chance to pop in, get connected and chat to someone across the city via a video call.
