A beautifully nostalgic score floods the streets of Hull and London as a fleet of seven ice cream vans call out to one another. The vans, each with their own individual harmony, weave in and out of each other to create a mesmerising symphony of different clustered sounds and a shared soundscape for unsuspecting audiences.

Dan Jones is a multi award-winning composer and sound designer working in film, television and theatre. He creates music for large scale public works, including Hull UK City of Culture 2017’s acclaimed We Are Hull by Zsolt Balogh.

Music For Seven Ice Cream Vans will perform at various outdoor locations in Hull across the weekend. For a full schedule, please visit www.absolutelycultured.co.uk/NMB19.

These performances are not ticketed, but you must obtain a free ticket to attend the Q&A on Friday 12 July.
