Land of Green Ginger Library Collection Points

We have been overwhelmed with the positive response to the deliveries of the Land of Green Ginger book to schools and households across the city.

Royal Mail were commissioned to deliver the book to every household in Hull as the most effective and efficient delivery method. We are, however, aware that some residents within the city boundary have not received a copy of the book through the post.

In order to give residents within the city boundary the opportunity to receive a book, we have set up a number of collection points at libraries across the city.

From Saturday 30 June until Saturday 14 July, books can be collected from the following libraries:

Please Note:

The Land of Green Ginger book was always intended to be delivered to residents within the city boundary, so proof of address will be required on collection.

We always intended to deliver one book per household. If you received a copy of the book through the post, please do not try to collect additional copies, which might mean that another household misses out. Addresses will be collected, and individuals will be asked to sign for books on collection. We are relying on people’s good will and consideration, so please do not try to collect a book if you already have a copy.

These measures have been put in place to help give every household in the city boundary the opportunity to get a copy of the book.

All 12 of the city’s libraries have a small stock of the Land of Green Ginger book that are available to read and borrow.

Hull’s libraries will continue to act as returns points for individuals to return their books rather than disposing of them.

The Land of Green Ginger book is limited edition so collections are on a first come first served basis.
