A Circus Adventure with Dazzling Dance Heads To Hull New Theatre, co-presented by Absolutely Cultured

Take a step into the unknown and embark on a journey of self-discovery as, Nobody: A Dance Circus Adventure comes to Hull New Theatre this November.

Co-presented by Motionhouse, Hull New Theatre, and Absolutely Cultured this fast-moving, highly physical show explores the tension between our inner lives and how we make sense of the world around us.

The show follows seven characters on their journey of self-discovery as they find strength and support in each other, while a group of curious crows questions their every move.

As they negotiate their ever-changing reality, the performers search for answers as the world unravels around them. And ask the question ‘Can they work together to find out who they are?’

Featuring Motionhouse’s renowned dance-circus style with its mesmerising choreography and visual magic that sees the world on stage transformed through digital projections, Nobody is a highly relevant and moving show resonating with recent times.

Janice Wincott, Theatres and Halls Manager at Hull Culture and Leisure Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be working with our partners Motionhouse and Absolutely Cultured to bring this outstanding production to Hull New Theatre.”

Stephen Munn, CEO & Artistic Director at Absolutely Cultured, said, “We are thrilled to be joining forces with our friends at Hull New Theatre, bringing nationally-celebrated dance company Motionhouse to the city. We’re excited to share this production with our audiences; which is a mix of highly physical dance, digital technology and engaging narrative. It’s the next event in our series of pilots over the coming year, aiming to offer more opportunities to experience dance and physical performance in Hull.”
